Subject Outlines
• Touch for Health I - IV ; Applying Kinesiology
(Pre-requisites: None)
Kinesiology (the science of movement) combines muscle testing and monitoring, with the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine to assess energy and body function, applying a range of gentle yet powerful healing techniques to improve health, well being and vitality and to treat musculoskeletal imbalances that may give rise to a variety of complaints.
Muscle testing Neurolymphatic system
Neurovascular System Acupuncture meridian syndrome
Muscle balancing Food testing
Emotional stress release Pain relief techniques
• Shiatsu I & II - Japanese Bodywork
(Pre-requisites: None)
Shiatsu is a form of Japanese bodywork involving stretching, holding and leaning weight into parts of the body to improve energy flow, blood circulation, flexibility and posture. Treatment is focused along specific channels or meridians of subtle bodily energy call Ki or Qi. Ki is the life force which sustains every activity of the body, mind and spirit. It is now used in many corporate businesses as the receiver remains clothed during the session.

• Spinal Release Therapy I & II - Advanced Polarity Therapy
(Pre-requisites: Myofascial/CST I)
This course focuses on restoring the body’s centre of gravity (L5-SI) to a balanced state and to release trauma and tension in the spine using powerful but light touch therapies. This course is suitable for those who aim to treat spinal complaints.
Spinal relationships Balancing centres of gravity
Effects of trauma and stress Plumb line analysis and treatment protocol
Effects of spinal misalignments Craniosacral reflexology
Lovett brothers expanded Polarity spinal balancing
Effects of Chakras on the spine Light touch techniques
• Positional Release Therapy - Strain / Counterstrain
(Pre-requisites: Myofascial/CST I)
Positional release technique involves positioning an area or the whole body in such a way as to invoke a physiological response, which helps to resolve musculoskeletal dysfunction. The beneficial results seem to be due to a combination of neurological and circulatory changes, which occur when a distressed area is placed in its most comfortable, it’s most easy, most pain free position.
Spontaneous positional release Facilitated positional release
Strain/counterstrain theory
The neutral position for specific areas of trauma Muscle spindles and reflex arcs
• Polarity I - Healing the Human Energy System
(Pre-requisites: None)
Polarity Therapy is becoming the defining model for energy medicine because it offers the most comprehensive and specific model of the Human Energy System. Polarity Therapy describes in detail the various patterns and features of the human energy field, and provides valuable therapeutic approaches to each dimension of the human experience.
Energy dynamics & general balancing Spine & nervous system techniques
Chakra balancing Theory on human energy system
The elements Levels of contact
• Polarity II - Opening the Energy Fields
(Pre-requisites: Polarity I)
In Polarity II many concepts and philosophies of Polarity are detailed with practical protocols that can be applied to clinical practice. Your Tutor is Roger Gilchrist from the Wellness Institute, a master lecturer in Polarity Therapy.

• Polarity III & IV - Expanding the Energy Field
(Pre-requisites: Polarity II)
In these seminars information on spinal balancing protocols and associated energetic structures are detailed. Roger Gilchrist expands on spinal energy dynamics.
