(Pre-requisites: Reflexology I)

This module enhances on Reflexology I by additional advanced techniques and detailed discussion of pathological disorders treated by reflexology. Developing a Reflexology clinic will be discussed.

• Reflexology III - Oriental Reflexology
(Pre-requisites: Reflexology II)

This course is based on Zoku Shin Do the art of East Asian Foot Reflexology, which originated in China 5,000 years ago. This form of Reflexology is not only designed to relax but to energize and rebalance the whole body. This course is advanced Oriental reflexology at it’s best and is exclusive to the college.

• Ear Reflexology - The Gateway to Balance
(Pre-requisites: Reflexology I or Anatomy & Physiology)

Ear Reflexology is the modern term for diagnosing and treating body disorders through the ear. Results can be spectacular. It is useful alone or with any other health care therapy. Students will be taught how to treat common physical and psychological disorders through the use of tactile stimulation and magnets. This is Advanced Reflexology at its best and is a must for all Remedial Therapists. Sports Therapists often apply this therapy at their clinic and sporting club. This course is exclusive to the Academy.

• Advanced Chair Massage - Corporate Massage
(Pre-requisites: Anma)

Chair massage is the fastest growing adjunct modality for massage therapists. Anma and Shiatsu techniques are combined and modified for application on the massage chair. We will show you have to treat common complaints applicable to the work situations or sporting applications. If you wish a career in corporate massage this is the course for you!

• Anma Massage - Japanese Massage
(Pre-requisites: None)

Anma is an extensive therapeutic application based on muscle kneading, designed to work muscles deeply and directly. It can be applied over clothing or bare skin, sitting or lying down, on a table, or the floor. Anma has been the basis for a number of modern modalities, such as Shiatsu, Tuina, and Western massage. This popular massage is great for sporting applications, corporate work or as a warm up to Trigger Point Therapy.

• Acupressure I - Firm Foundations
(Pre-requisites: None)

Acupressure is a form of body work that uses pressure on acupuncture points rather than needles. Treatment is focused along specific channels or meridians of subtle bodily energy called Qi. Qi is the Life Force which sustains every activity of the body, mind and spirit. Specific acu-points are used to treat disorders and bring about harmony of energy flowing through the meridians. If you would like to do Acupuncture without the needles then this course is for you!

• Acupressure II - Balancing the Body
(Pre-requisites: Acupressure I plus either Massage I, Reflexology I, Anma, Qi-Gong or Polarity I)

At the completion of this subject practitioners will be able to immediately treat using a wide variety of acupressure techniques. Sports therapists will find acupressure invaluable in the treatment of sports injuries.

• Acupressure III - Chinese Sport Medicine

In this section Trigger Point Therapy is combined with Advanced Acupressure techniques and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) to treat common musculoskeletal conditions. This course is a must for Sport Therapists or those who would like to treat injuries from an Oriental perspective. Effective therapy!
