Certificate IV in Massage

Become a certified Therapist! This is a great foundation course for massage and provides skills in therapeutic relaxation massage including basic health assessment and the underpinning knowledge for more advanced trainings. Everyone starts their subjects with Massage I & II and progresses through subjects as they are offered in the Certificate IV and then to the specialisation subjects for a Diploma.

Pathophysiology / DPE
Basic Counselling Skills
Occupational Health & Safety
Manage a Practice
Senior First Aid
Supervised Clinic I

Qualification: Massage Therapist
Duration: Certificate IV 6 months full-time or part-time equivalent

On the following pages you may do the specialisation pathway of your choice depending on your interest. Subjects must be done as listed for specialisations and cannot be substituted by others unless otherwise indicated. The pathway will lead to a government accredited diploma.

You may do multiple pathways for a number of Academy Diplomas that will list your specialty of choice. These are in addition to your government accredited Remedial Diploma or other Diplomas.

Some Diploma specialty subjects can be undertaken anytime they are offered in the timetable so please check the pre-requisites, e.g. Anma, Reflexology I, Polarity Therapy 1, Acupressure 1 and Qi-Gong Therapy can be done at anytime as there are no pre-requisites.
